Coaching for Burned Out Mid-Career Doctors

You don’t have to do it all and you don’t have to do it alone.

DISCOVERY CALL
A translucent image of mossy rocks.

You’ve been practicing for 5, 10, 15 years. You’re a capable, compassionate physician. A parent. A partner. A problem-solver.

You’re working all the time—but it never feels like enough.

You’re constantly behind on charts.
You’re catching up on labs at night and checking your inbox on weekends.
You rush from clinic to home, only to face another shift: dinner, homework, laundry, appointments.

The invisible workload of parenting and caregiving never ends—especially if your partner is also stretched thin or unavailable. And still, you carry the belief:
"I should be able to do it all.” But the cracks are showing.

  • You’re exhausted.

  • You’re less efficient than you used to be.

  • Your patience is thinner.

You’re not enjoying your work—or your life—the way you once did.

It feels like having “100 tabs open in your brain, all the time."

Burnout isn’t a badge of honour. It’s a signal that something needs to change.

Many of the doctors I work with are navigating multiple transitions at once:

  • Feeling the weight of small kids and aging parents.

  • Realizing that medicine can’t be everything anymore.

  • Sensing they’re losing themselves in the never-ending demands of others.

Some come to coaching after a crisis—an injury, a breakdown, or a moment where they just… can’t keep going.

Others come because they’re quietly wondering:

Is this all there is?

Why can’t I enjoy medicine the way I imagined I would?

I’m so unhappy and worn down- should I leave medicine altogether?

In Our Work Together, We Create Breathing Room.

This is a space where you don’t have to perform or fix anything.

It’s not about adding more to your to-do list. It’s about making space for your wellbeing, one doable step at a time.

We might start with simple tools:

  • A few moments of mindfulness between patients

  • A reset ritual on your commute

  • A strategy for drawing firmer boundaries or delegating at home

But we’ll also explore the deeper questions:

  • What matters to you now?

  • What needs to shift to support the life you want to be living?

  • What are you ready to let go of?

Our work together is about making room for yourself within your life.
